Bad behavior is your child’s way of telling you that your child is having a problem with something. This is particularly true if the same situations keep on producing bad behavior. Then it is your job to figure out why your child is having trouble and what you need to do about it.

While your child is having a tantrum or is acting out, you cannot talk to him. All you can do at that point is remove your child from the situation so he will not hurt himself or anybody else.

Once your child is calm you can try to resolve the problem and explore better ways you child can express his anger to you.

Warmly,
