I have been listening to your advise, and I have actually been doing what you are saying. I do not give in to my son, who is now 14, and this is when things get worse. It’s as if, now he’s angry and can’t have his way, or is not able to have what he wants, such as playing video games, he gets out of control. He is so angry, that he wants to make me or his father angry. If he is told to go to his room, he refuses. If we continue to try to make him go, he wants to hit or kick, or throw things at us. He absolutly will not do what he is told and the situation usually gets ugly. What should we do? We are at a total loss and are looking for answers. If you have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know. I want to try to help him before it’s too late. He can’t go into the world with this attitude and it really scares me to know where he could end up. He is on a few different meds to try to help control this but it doesn’t seem to work. We need to try to have different strategies here at home but don’t know what.
    Thank you!!!
