I need #3! My 10 year old son was recently tested and the results came back as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and anger management problems! That is a lot for a 10 year old to deal with as well as me as the mother. I am trying to decide if he needs medicine or not??? I really do not want to start my 10 year old on medicine but I know he needs help big time. These problems have progressed in the past year, so I am trying to figure out the best way to handle them and since he is an only child, I really have nothing to compare it to. Thanks for all your helpful tips. I am relying on this program to help direct me.
I don’t know how your son was tested but if I were you I would investigate neurofeedback first before I started medication. My sister’s son was diagnosed with ADHD and was on medication, then he had anxiety issues and was given more medication, including Abilify . He was taking about 5 different medications at age 10. He went for neurofeedback in which a brain scan is first done to diagnose the problem. It was determined he did not have ADHD but actually had a form of Asperger’s Syndrome in which ADHD medication would make worse. The neurofeedback was time comsuming, he went twice a week for several months but it worked, he no longer takes any medication and is about 75-80% better than he was. His anxiety has been drastically reduced, his behavior is better and his grades have improved. I would search out a reputable neurofeedback practicioner, they are a bit hard to find, or ask Dr. Kane’s opinion.
Best of Luck.
If the expense and hassle of neurofeedback is a problem, you might want to look into the neuroliminal method developed by Dr. Phil Bate.
It quite literally works while the kid sleeps. That doesn’t mean you don’t need the techniques from this website, but the kid will be more susceptible to them.

I have knowsn Dr Bate online for about 8 years, and guarantee that he is not in it for the money.
