Dee,
I have a similar situation. I am curious- does your daughter have a cell phone? My child does. We have AT&T. I can call them and temporarily suspend the service. This always gets his attention then I say " when the chores are done, I will reinstate the phone". The other thing that has worked is when he ask for something, I take the same amount of time to reply. When he complained, I explained what I was doing. The next time I reminded him to do chores, I also reminded him that he may need me soon as well. It is not 100%, but it did increase compliance and reduce the amount of my frustration. I hope this is helpful.--Angel

I have been using the technique on my daughter for quite some time now and she seems to want to prolong the doing of chores. Her only chore at 10 yrs old right now is taking care of her room. She took 11 hrs two days to do a 5 minute job, I will continue to try. But she doesnt take the consequences seriously which causes more tension between us. I will try my best. Thank you for your continuos emails and support. I wish I could afford the whole program, but your emails are a big help for now. Thanks again Dr. Kane for your time. Love this program.....

It was a good idea. These suggestions really helped. My son now knows that if he wants to go outside, or watch video games he has to do chores, and we are in the process of making time for chores only time for everyone in the house hold.

Thanks
